3D Characters

2015 - Current

This will probably be the hardest page of content for me to populate. I have been working pretty steadily on making my own set of diverse, interesting, unusual and fashionable 3D characters for 9 or more years now. Some are from Blender, others 3DSmax and some are from Unreal Engine as I have been testing out my VR Photoshop build.

Every time I get to a point where I think it’s cool, I step away, come back, and hate it all. So there’ll be things here that I like, but they’re always some step along the way to an end goal that I’m yet to even define.

The mostly likely scenario now in 2024 is that these characters will be the ‘stars’ of some animated content I make based on the Treatments shown on my home page. I have a long list of to-do’s, but I’ll try my best to share things now and then!

Disclaimers

  1. You’ll see a lot of one particular bald girl, I dont like to work on skin and detail rendering with the hair meshes unhidden as it slows my viewport down, so i render the same character each time to compare her to the last set of renders.

  2. I am impatient when it comes to rendering locally, so 90% or more of these are noisy from me stopping the render early. It’s a habit that’s hard to break.

  3. I have been steering away from facial expressions until I’m happy with the base mesh and rig, so yeah, they all look pretty moody.
