My Own Soul’s Warning

Planning, creating and delivering over 4 min of broadcast quality visuals for one of the world’s biggest bands was the most challenging creative project I have ever undertaken, and the one I am most proud of, earning us a nomination for Best Rock Video in the 2021 MTV VMAs.

Directed by Michael Hili and produced by Kalliope Pictures under extremely difficult pandemic cautious conditions in mid 2020 on location in Las Vegas. I worked as a one-man VFX department to enhance a beautifully filmed and lit set into a surreal and painterly universe with (literally) 100s of hours of After Effects work. I’m eternally grateful to Mick and his crew for throwing down the gauntlet on this one.
